i have a lot of history reading i could be doing, but obviously that is getting thrown by the wayside so that i could update my pathetic blog for no one and apply for an internship with CAKE.today, the collegian came out. there were a large number of extremely interesting articles, such as a review of "...forum" and an article about improv 101's upcoming events. there was also an article concerning the shopping center that is planned for the rear of the good shepard lot and scheduled to open in spring 2007 (cool...my junior year). while everything about the center itself sounds great and i'm really pleased that the community is taking the initiative to better the area, i was shocked to read that the community outside la salle does not want this grocery store/shopping mall in their midst. they don't la salle to have anymore community property. fine...you can miss out on a convienient area to do errands and a great employment oppurtunity because you are still sore about the 20th street thing? man, if i lived here, i would be livid too. oh, that's right. i do live here. and i want a fresh grocer someplace where i don't have to comendere a driver and vehicle everytime i need milk and sour cream. i don't understand these people sometimes. they can get up in arms everytime we try to make the streets of Olney/North Philly safer and cleaner, but the constant muggings and shootings don't s
eem to garner one iota of response. it makes sense.speaking of sour cream (read that paragraph, i did referrence sour cream), it is my favorite topping for everything. pretzels, steak, potatoes, tortilla chips, rice...pretty much everything. some shredded cheese and italian dressing dont' hurt the mix much either.
on my final note, i watched "the silence of the lambs" yesterday with the film as art class. i was petrified to view this 1991 best picture winner (that's for you, mike), but as i noted later, it was so intricate and amazing that i didn't care that one scene contained a cop hung angelically by his back skin. i may be weary of moths for a few weeks, but with the winter weather arriving with avengence, i have a feeling they won't be bothering me for a while.

I would agree about the sour cream. I like to kid myself into thinking I like Mexican food, but really I just need an appropriate vehicle for sour cream. You have to come to these hard realizations late in life.
