so yesterday i registered for my fourth semester at la salle university... actually, more pre-registered. my advisors signed off on the classes i wanted to take and we discussed requirements and stuff too. grady was quite pleased by my roster and it makes me wonder how people get through three years and then find out senior year that they didn't take some huge requirement. anyway, here's my shitastic schedule for spring, 2006.
mondays: i wake up bright and early for "American History Through Baseball" with none other than John Rossi. This class actually promises to be excellent, considering the course, the instructor and the awesome people i'm taking it with. at 10, i have "The Eternal Golden Braid". Please do not ask me to explain this to you. the best i can say is that it is a mix of math, puzzles, literature, and a master work of one sort or another. at noon, i have another triple re-mix class (yeah triple 2!) with dr. moreau for "American Philosophy". all that reading is going to suck. but i know dr. moreau, so i think i can handle it. a little break for lunch leads me to "Film as Art" with the famous Bill Wine at 2. This is my first class in the Com Center...this should be fun. Actually, this will probably be my favorite class of the new semester, considering that it's film...with bill wine. Finally, my Monday is ended with Biology 158 at Holroid. This is a requirement that i am getting out of the way now. The biggest problem with this is the fact that Holroid (which for non-la salle students is the science building) is the farthest academic building on campus from the Com Center. and i get 10 minutes to travel. score one for my legs.
Tuesday: one class...Film as Art screening. at 3:30. how 'bout that?
Wednesday is an exact repeat of Monday.
Thursday: off. how dumb.
Friday is nice because i have class only until 1. Film as Art meets three times (MTW) and Biology is an hour and 15 minutes, so it only meets twice a week.
Next semester is going to be big for me. I really hope to make it into one or both of the shows, and if i don't, i would love to be SM or AD. Especially for Red Herring, just to hang out with Tom Reing Monday thru Thursday. I also have a good feeling about getting into Shakespeare, but art is art and art is subjective. We also have inductions in the spring, and i definitly plan to take a baby. This will also be the last semester where i'm not preparing for my GRE's...ick. Finally, I plan on running for VP Personnel in the Masque for my junior year, so i have to work hard on that as well. And on applying for a Day One position over the summer. That would rock if i got it. three months with awesome la salle kids in the townhouses and a chance to stay in philly a few more months and tell kids how cool it is that they got into la salle. kick ass.
