epiphany!

my life isn't so bad! i have some great friends here at home who are willing to listen to my problems, and i to theirs, who i didn't realize cared so much. my job isn't so bad. just a little boring, but as long as i keep busy (and i do), the time goes by very fast. my family is pretty awesome too. last night, mom and i watched "the best of will ferrell" together. too good.

also, my new perspective on life is partially due to rabbi shmuley boteach. he's a rabbi who writes these amazing books and has a new show on TLC called "shalom in the home". he has some very sound ideas and isn't preachy in the least (at least, that's the way i feel). i'm not as afraid to sit in my house alone late at night, or do things that i'm afraid to do. there is a difference between caution and irrational fear, and i'm now learning to tell the difference. this is fantastic. rabbi shmuley was also on oprah yesterday, which means you'll probably be hearing more about him soon.

i had two of the weirdest dreams last night. one i won't go into. the other was way weirder. my teeth were just falling out of my mouth. no blood or gore. just a mouth full of loose teeth. it was so odd and real that when i woke up, i was ready to run screaming to my dad that all my teeth had fallen out.

if you're not in the central pa area, i'd like to alert you to the fact that water boil advisories suck. not just because the water is undrinkable, unless it comes from big tankers in the giant parking lot, but because you're constantly forgetting, then you've put the yucky water in your mouth and swallowed it. ew. so, that should be gone by thursday. also, orange julius is closed at the mall, so i can't get my banana smoothie. :(

well, that's it. i realized that i sounded like my summer was the worst ever and i wanted to die. this is not the case. this summer is billions of times better than last summer. i've seen college friends already and i'll see a whole bunch of them this weekend. everything is pretty peachy. next time i sound like i wish the world would end, someone remind me of this post. it's the truth.
