i just lost in trivial pursuit to my parents. sigh. i'm truly losing my touch. i need to start learning more useless facts. just so i can beat my parents at trivial pursuit. i'll have trivial pursuit parties this year, i think. i have some neat card decks (disney, movies, baby boomer, and Saturday night live (with a DVD)).

anyway. today was nice. i had a terrible headache last night (sara and george know why), so when i woke up no longer in nauseating pain, i was pretty thrilled. i got up, watched fraiser and golden girls, did a crossword (duh...i don't just do that at the masque table), and got dressed to have lunch with the one and only nik shah. we met at roxy's (cute restuarant near where i worked last summer) and had a lovely lunch with chats and such. afterwards, i stopped by my mom's office to say hi, then ran some errands. i also made dinner tonight, on my ongoing quest to be a good cook when i go back to school so i can impress my lovely roomies and invite my friends and lovers over for some dinners. i made pasta with tomato basil sauce and a simple salad. mom and dad enjoyed it very much, which made me happy. i went to work for a bit (we just renovated and i had to move stuff again...). then i just finished playing trivial pursuit with my parents.

this brings me to my next point. i'm going to have a trivial pursuit contest on my blog. every day or so, there will be a set of questions, one from each card deck that i own. answer them in a comment and i'll give you points. how does that sound? let's play.

here are the rules: you get one guess. once you've commented and answered wrong, you're done for the day with that question. each day will be a different color (blue, pink, yellow, brown/purple, green, and orange. DO NOT RESEARCH THESE. IF I SUSPECT FOUL PLAY, I GET ALL YOUR POINTS AND YOU ARE NO LONGER IN THE RUNNING. that's right. i could win based on someone else being dishonest. the first person who's comment registers is the winner of that question. i'm not sitting by my computer waiting for answers. there is no specific time i will post, so you just have to be lucky with the timing. i'm harsh. boo. my blog, my rules. i will also be posting this on: livejournal, xanga, and blogspot blogs. the leaderboard will be posted with the next questions.
